Preparing the Beacon

A CO works on the Beacon, the newspaper by and for COs. The Beacon was a way for COs in different camps to stay in touch. It also let their families back home know how they were doing. COs volunteered their time to write stories, type the newspaper, and mail out thousands of copies.
