Blasting with Dynamite and the Aftermath

This video clearly shows how COs used dynamite in the construction of the Trans-Canada Highway. If the highway was supposed to pass over a large section of rock, the rock had to be removed. The COs placed dynamite in the rock to break it into pieces small enough to remove by hand or by machine.
